It started with an eyeroll.
Not a metaphorical one. A real, dramatic eyeroll from Lotte — as she pulled her contact lens case out of her makeup bag and thought: why does this thing still look like it came from a hospital?
Lotte is a product designer with a background at Philips. Steph is her co-founder and the business brain behind JADE. Together they decided to do what seemed obvious but somehow hadn't been done: make a contact lens case that's actually worth keeping.
JADE launched in Ireland in 2025 — female-owned, independently built, and designed with one clear goal: a contact lens case that fits your life as well as it fits your lenses.
Thanks for being here. xx Lotte & Steph

Why did you start JADE Cases?
Because one day we were talking about how bad contact lens cases are, and the next we were making our own. You use the thing every single day, twice a day, and it looks like something that fell out of a cereal box. So we made one you'd actually want to carry.
Where are JADE Cases made?
Designed in Ireland, manufactured in the Netherlands. Contact lens cases are classed as medical devices in the EU rather than general homeware, so they're regulated products. JADE Cases are CE marked and registered in EUDAMED, the EU medical device database.
Are JADE Cases better for the environment than free ones?
They're built to be used rather than binned after a few weeks, which is the honest difference. We'd rather be specific than make a broad sustainability claim: a case you like and keep replaces several you'd otherwise throw away, and you should still replace it every three months for hygiene reasons.
Is this a limited edition?
Yes, the first run is 1,000 pieces across five colours. When a colour is gone it's gone until we decide whether to make more.
Do you sell to opticians and retailers?
Yes, we work with independent opticians and stockists. Email us for wholesale pricing and we'll send it over.
