Why Your Contact Lens Case Doesn't Have to Be Ugly
Deel
Think about the things you touch every day: your phone, your water bottle, your favourite mug. Most of them you picked because you like how they look. Then there's your contact lens case, a little plastic object that looks like it came from a hospital supply closet.

We started JADE Cases because we thought that was strange.
Who we are

JADE is Stephanie and Lotte, two friends who wear contacts and were tired of pulling a clinical little case out of a very nice handbag. Lotte designs from the Netherlands, where JADE cases are made to be pretty first and hidden never. Stephanie runs things from London. Here we are with friends, dressed up for a gala, which is exactly the kind of night you don't want an ugly case in your clutch.
A practical object, stuck in the past
Contact lens cases have barely changed in decades. They're designed to be functional and cheap, and they usually come free with a bottle of solution. Nobody chose them, so nobody expected them to be nice.
But you use your case at least twice a day. It sits on your bathroom counter, travels in your bag and comes out in front of friends at sleepovers and on trips. For something that personal, "clinical" is a strange default.
What makes a JADE case different

A JADE case does the same job as any other case, with leak-proof threaded caps. The difference is that it's designed to be something you actually like looking at: five colours, from hot pink and JADE blue to red, onyx black and crystal clear, and a shape that feels like an accessory instead of a medical device.
Why it matters more than you'd think
- You're less likely to lose it. A case you can spot is a case you don't leave behind.
- You're more likely to care for it. People tend to look after things they like.
- It makes a routine feel less like a chore. Small moments of joy add up when they happen every morning and night.
- It's a way to express yourself. Glasses became fashion years ago. Contact wearers deserve the same.
Making the everyday a little more fun
That's the whole idea behind JADE: take a practical object everyone ignores and make it something you're happy to see. Your eyes deserve good care. Your case deserves good design.
